The EAP has three Associate Members, Japan, Fiji and Papua New Guinea, and seven Affiliate Members who are the Cook Islands, Indonesia, Philippines, Samoa, South Korea, Tonga & Vanuatu.
The Region runs a number of different tournaments including the Boys U15 Cricket 8’s, Boys U19 World Cup Qualifier, Women’s EAP Cricket Challenge and the Men’s EAP Cricket Trophy.
Every year players from the EAP region are invited to attend Cricket Australia’s Centre of Excellence in Brisbane. In 2007 the camp has been split into two groups; an Emerging Players Squad and a High Performance Squad. Emerging Coaches have also been invited.
The Region also provides an EAP team to compete against the best Country cricketers from each State in the Australian Country Cricket Championships (ACCC). The team is selected after the EAP Squad Camp. EAP has been competing in the ACCC since 2004. In 2006 an EAP Umpire also took part in the ACCC, this will continue from 2009 onwards.
To assist each of the countries in the EAP region with Coach/Umpire Education and High Performance the State/Province Partnerships were formed. They have been running since 2002. Representatives from the States and Provinces travel to countries for 1-2 weeks a couple of times each year.
Every year the EAP office coordinates a Used Cricket Equipment Drive in conjunction with Cricket Victoria and the Melbourne Cricket Club. The equipment is then sent out to each of the countries.
